All my straight egyptian arabs are liverchestnuts with flaxen mane and tail. Uh... and then there's Hieroglyf, who is grey. So, alone mong all my other horses, he has a page dedicated just to him. What makes him so special? He was one of the first pedigrees I ever bought, the first year I collected. He was but a foal then, but his breeder, Eva Jangö had written "stallion prospect" next to him and I bought him. He had many models and then one day I bought the most amazing Cl. Swaps remade by Sophie Bergström to a lovely grey arab stallion who nibbled at his own shoulder and that simply *was* Hieroglyf. This was before my decision to collect only liverchestnut arabs with flaxen mane and tail. When I took that decision I sold off everyone -even my beloved Hieroglyf. He came to a good home, to an owner who loved him almost as much as I did and he stayed there for several years. I did miss him a lot. Then one day that person asked if I had anything for sale or trade and on a whim I mentioned that I had a few horses for trade, but only if I could get Hieroglyf back. And she agreed! Then he was lost in the mail (!!!) for a while before I finally got him back. Alas, Hieroglyf himself has died now and I'll likely sell the model at some point, it's lovely, but just not as special without Hieroglyf himself.
