I adore Alex Krycek, the gorgeous 'Ratboy' of the X-files. And most any role played by the handsome Nick Lea. I have named my russian arabs after this character, while my Crabbets I've named after my two favourit characters of Highlander, Methos and Duncan (and if you 'get' all the references, we probably have a lot in common...). Lately I have also bought two young spanish arabs. My CMKs were first listed as Crabbets, which they are not. Apparently previously horses with about 75% still counted as Crabbet, but now it's only 100%. This is the information I currently got (I post it partly here so I'll remember it myself):
"Straight Crabbet Arabians: A pedigree group of Pure Bred Arabians with 100% Crabbet bloodlines."
"CMK stands for 'Crabbet-Maynesboro-Kellogg' in at least 75% of their pedigree to foundation stock of Crabbet Stud [including its Egyptian branch, the Sheykh Obeyd Stud], the Hamidie Society, Spencer Borden, Randolph Huntington, Homer Davenport, W.R. Brown and Kellogg. It must also trace in tail male to a CMK sire line, as summarized in the third CMK Heritage Catalogue of 1992, and in tail female to a family established in North America by 1950."
