The Waterliveshow's Special Runs


Har endast kunnats köpas av utställare på Vattenshowen med begränsningen en per utställare (förutom kortet, som gavs bort).
The Waterliveshow SRs could only be bought by showers present at the show, with a limit of one per person(apart from the card, which was given away).

Vattenshowens Rana SR 2014

Sveriges första Show Special run - Rana gjordes inför Vattenshowen 2014. Namnet har modellen passande nog fått efter havsdjupens gudinna "Ran" i nordisk mytologi. Hon är maka till jätten Ägir, och har nio döttrar - vilka har fått namnge vissa typer av vågor. Gudinnan Ran fångar in drunknande personer med sitt stora nät och håller dem sen i sina stora salar på havets botten. När modellen skulle namnges gjordes tillägget "a" på slutet gjordes för att få namnet mer feminint.

Ran was created for the Waterfestival Live in 2014 and are Sweden's first Show Special Run. Her name comes from the goddess of the sea, “Ran,” in Norse mythology. She is the wife of the giant Ägir, and she has nine daughters, all named for different kinds of waves. Ran captures those who drown in her big net and holds them in her halls at the bottom of the sea. We added an “a” on the end to make the name more feminine.

Rana är en Pulling Drafter, gjord i Earthenware av Animal Artistry, England och modellen är en SR (Special Run) med 25 utgåvor exklusivt för Vattenshowen. Tio av modellerna behölls av Animal Artistry vilket lämnade femton modeller tillgängliga för utställare.

En av dessa femton modeller donerades till Riks 2014 till förmån för SMHF. Rana skiljer sig dessutom lite från övriga av samma modell då hon har något längre svans. På hennes bas finns även den svenska flaggan. Ett par testfärger gjordes innan den slutgiltiga bruna med pangare blev den färg som användes. Rana is a Pulling Drafter in earthenware created by Animal Artistry, England, and is a SR (Special Run) limited to 25 models exclusively for the Waterfestival Liveshow. Ten of the models were kept by Animal Artistry, leaving fifteen models available for the showers. One of those models was donated to the Swedish nationals, 2014.

Rana differs from other Pulling Drafters in that she has a slightly longer tail. In addition, on the base you can find the Swedish flag. A couple of test colors were produced before the final bay with pangare became the chosen color.

Vattenshowens Yamm SR 2016

Den andra Show Special run modellen - Yamm gjordes inför Vattenshowen 2016. Namnet kommer från en havsgud i den syrisk-fenicisk religionen. Yamm bodde i ett palats i havets djup och härskade över havet och floderna. Han representerade havets kraft, otämjd och rasande, härskande även över stormarna och olyckorna dessa stormar orsakar.

Yamm was created for the Waterfestival live in 2016. The name comes from Yamm, a Levantine sea and river god popular in the Bronze and Early Iron Ages. He is the deity of primordial chaos and represents the power of the sea, untamed and raging; he is seen as ruling storms and the disasters they wreak.

Om Modellen/About the model

Yamm är en Rearing Arabian, modellen är liksom Vattenshowens Rana gjord i Earthenware, dvs "lergods", en typ av keramik som eldas vid låga temperaturer och är något mer porös än stengods och porslin. Hos Animal Artistry består lerblandningen för Earthenware modeller av fyra olika komponenter för att göra den slutgiltiga modellen så detaljerad och en så bra bas att måla på som möjligt. Yamm is a rearing Arabian stallion created in earthenware by Animal Artistry, England, and is a SR (Special Run) limited to 25 models exclusively for the Waterfestival Liveshow. 10 of the models were kept by Animal Artistry, leaving 15 models available for the showers. Yamm differs from other rearing Arabian stallion models in that he has a changed tail design and his ears are turned back. Vattenshowens Davy Jones & Calypso SR 2018

Sveriges tredje Show Special run - Davy Jones gjordes inför Vattenshowen 2018. Namnet är inspirerat från den förbannade kaptenen från 'Pirates of the Caribbean', som var till hälften man och till hälften sjödjur. Grunden baseras dock på en mytologisk varelse som brukar liknas med 'havets djävul'.

Davy Jones and his companion was made for the Waterliveshow 2018. This name as you might have guessed is inspired from the cursed pirate captain from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean', half man, half sea creature. The true origin is however based on a creature that was seen as the 'devil of the sea'.

Om Modellen/About the model

Davy Jones är en Thoroughbred Stallion, modellen är liksom Vattenshowens Rana och Vattenshowens Yamm gjord i Earthenware, dvs "lergods". Färgen är en mörkbrun minimal sabino/splash och med ett blått öga. Calypso sitter säkert under Davy för att underlätta packing. Katten Calypso är specialskulpterad för oss, så Davy Jones är den första bland Donnas skulpturer som har denna typ av kattkompanjon (det kan komma flera senare). Davy Jones is a Thoroughbred Stallion, the model are just as Vattenshowens Rana och Vattenshowens Yamm made in Earthenware. The color is a dark bay minimal sabino/splash with one blue eye. Calypso sits safely under Davy to make packing easier. Calypso are made especially for us, so Davy Jones is the first of Donnas sculpturs that have this type of cat-friend (there might come more later). Vattenshowens Pontus SR 2019

Sveriges fjärde Show Special run - Mammutåsnan Pontus gjordes inför Vattenshowen 2019 och till ära av showens 25-års jubileum. Namnet är inspirerat från det grekiska ordet póntos, som betyder 'hav'. Enligt mytologin så var Pontos var en av universums första varelser och han förkroppsligade självaste havet. Han var son till antingen enbart Gaia (Jorden) eller till Gaia och Aither (Luften). Pontos hustru var Thalassa, som var ett annat havsväsen, och med henne blev han far till havets alla fiskar. Guden 'Pontos' kallas på engelska för 'Pontus' vilket vi tyckte passade alldeles utmärkt för en söt 'stor-liten' åsna så det fick han heta.

Sweden's fourth Show Special run - the Mammuth jackstock donkey Pontus made for the Waterliveshow 2019 and to celebrate the shows 25th anniversery. The name come from the greek word 'póntos' that means 'sea'. Acording to mythology Pontos was one of the first creatures of the universe and he embodied the sea itself. He was the son of Gaia (earth) alone or to Gaia and Aither (air). Pontos wife was Thalassa, who was another seacreature, and with her be became the father of all the fish in the sea. In english the god 'Pontos' is called 'Pontus' and that we thought fitted perfectly for a cute 'big-small' donkey.

Liten men naggande god, micro mini modellen (skala 1:64) Pontus är gjuten i resin av Maggie Bennett, och totalt är det 60 stycken i utgåvan, 20 stycken behölls av Maggie Bennett själv. Mer bilder på Pontus och Pontus SR kortet för Best In Show spelet kan ses här.

Small but oh so handsome, the micro mini model (scale 1:64) Pontus is cast in resin by Maggie Bennett, and the edition consists of 60 models total, 20 of these was kept by Maggie Bennett. More pictures of Pontus and the Pontus SR card for the Best I nShow game can be seen here.



Vattenshowens Canyon's Regal Thames SR 2023

Sveriges femte Show Special run - Suffolk Punch hingsten Canyon's Regal Thames gjordes inför Vattenshowen 2023. Namnet kommer från manifestationen av floden Thames, Father Thames, i kombination med skulptörens artistmärke, Canyon Spring Studio. I vardagstal kallar vi honom C R T eller bara Thames.

Sweden's fifth Show Special run - Suffolk Punch stallion Canyon's Regal Thames, was made to the Waterfestival Liveshow 2023. The name is from Father Thames, the manifistation of the River Thames, in combination with the sculptor's artist brand, Canyon Spring Studio. We call him C R T or just Thames.

Stor och liten på en gång, mycket häst i ett litet paket, micro mini modellen (skala 1:64) Canyon's Regal Thames är printad i resin av Leah Peretz, och totalt är det 40 stycken i utgåvan, samtliga säljes endast på Vattenshowen förutom en test som Leah målade som donation till Vattenshowen. Big and small at the same time, a lot of horse in a little package, the micro mini model (scale 1:64) Canyon's Regal Thames is printed in resin by Leah Peretz, and the edition consists of 40 models total, all sold only at the Waterfestival Liveshow apart from one test that Leah paitned as a donation to the Waterfestival Liveshow. Vattenshowens Manchado SR 2022 Vattenshowens Slipped/Skewed Tobiano SR 2023

Showarrrangörerna har designat ett modellhästspel, Best In Show. Det premierade på Vattenshowen 2022 och showen till ära ges SR kort ut varje år: 2022 Manchado och 2023 Slipped/Skewed Tobiano. Dessa kort gavs bort till deltagare och donatorer. Även Vattenshowens övriga SRs finns som kort, se ovan.

The show hosts have designed a model horse game, Best In Show. It premiered at the Waterfestival Liveshow of 2022 and in honour of the show a SR card is given away each year: 2022 Manchado and 2023 Slipped/Skewed Tobiano. These cards are given to showers and donors. The other SRs for the Waterfestival Liveshow also exists as cards, see above.
